Timescape

 A collection of writing
written in the style of

prose.  A community for lovers and writers in the free style form of both poetry and prose.

A variation in theme:
Relationships, Marriage, Love, Family, Friendship,
Emotions, Faith, Joys and Sorrows.

I thoroughly enjoy the artistic style and eloquence
of written prose.

I welcome and invite all feedback in comments, submissions and posts from other writers, as well as those who simply care to read along and relate here.  Welcome to Timescape!
There Is No Other Like Ones Husband
A man's emotions, his vulnerabilities,
his intimate expressions of love,
are like that of a fingerprint;
so very unique.

My husband reveals to me his need
to be heard, and or understood
in such a way that it appears to be a language
that no one else would understand.
But I do, naturally!

He reveals to me his moments of feeling
disturbed about something
in such a way that it calls upon my heart
with a sense of urgency.
My hearts attention becomes fixated
upon my husband and his need
for comfort; his need of me.

When all the world around us seems a cold,
callous and unforgiving place,
it is the heart of a spouse that can
offer immediate shelter and solace.

A loving, inviting, warm and willing place
that a husband calls the "home" of his heart.
His wife, his lover, his companion and best friend.

My arms so willing to hold my husband close,
I embrace him in all that he is and ever will be
as a Man, come what may.

My husband Curtis is a kind, gentle, loving and strong man.
He is so very compassionate, caring, generous, trusting and true.
My husband is funny, charming, playful and outgoing too.
He is also romantic, sexy, spontaneous and passionate.
My husband is adventurous, giving, determined and sweet.

And given the occasional moments
that do come and go in any man,
I love my husband when he can be a
sometimes hard-headed and silly man too!

My husband Curtis gives so much of himself.
I cherish every breath he takes
each day in our life walking forward together.
He owns my heart as I am sure I own his too.
I thank God everyday for my husband
and hope others are reminded here
to be thankful for their dear husbands too.
